About the interval timer

An interval timer is followed by ear and glance, not read. This one leads with the command — WORK or REST, or the exercise you named — while the whole screen washes warm for effort and cool for recovery, so you know the phase without reading a number. A 3-2-1 lead-in, phase tones, and a last-three-seconds tick mean you can finish a set with your eyes shut.

Tap Tabata, HIIT, EMOM or Boxing to start instantly, or set your own work, rest and rounds. Add a comma-separated list of exercises and each work round announces the next move; Boxing adds the bell and a ten-second clacker. It fills the screen, keeps the display awake, and works offline — no account, no ads.

Interval timer FAQ

Is the interval timer free?

Yes — it's completely free, with no account and no ads.

What's the difference between Tabata, HIIT, EMOM and Boxing?

Tabata is 20s work / 10s rest × 8. HIIT here is 40s / 20s × 8. EMOM starts a new round every minute (you rest the remainder). Boxing is 3-minute rounds with 1-minute breaks and a bell. You can edit any of them under Custom.

Can I follow it without looking at the screen?

Yes — that's the point. Every phase change is audible: a 3-2-1 lead-in, a rising GO into work, a soft tone into rest, and a tick for the last three seconds. Boxing adds the bell and a ten-second warning.

Can I add my own exercises?

Type a comma-separated list like “burpees, squats, plank”. The names cycle across your work rounds, the current one shows big, and each rest previews what's next.

Can I set my own work, rest and rounds?

Yes — use the Custom steppers to set any work time, rest time (0 for none) and round count, then press Start.

Does it run fullscreen and keep the screen on?

It fills the screen with a Fullscreen button, and while a workout runs it keeps the display awake so it won't dim between sets.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded it runs offline, so a dropped connection won't stop your workout.
