Features

🚥An authentic Formula 1 five-light start: the red lights come on one column at a time, then all go dark together. React the instant they vanish.
🚦Jump-start detection, just like the real stewards. Go before lights-out and the start is flagged and restarted — you can't cheat the clock.
🏎Three modes — an easy fixed hold, a real race-length random hold, and a hard mode with aborted (amber) starts you must ignore.
📊See your five-start average against a real F1 driver's ~200ms launch and the ~273ms human average, with best-time and jump tracking.

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast do real F1 drivers react?

Formula 1 drivers launch from the lights in around 200 milliseconds, and the very best dip under it. The human average to a visual signal is about 250–300ms, so anything under 250ms puts you in serious company.

What counts as a jump start?

Any tap before all five lights go out is a jump start — exactly like the penalty in real Formula 1. The sequence restarts and the jump is logged in your stats, so anticipating the lights never earns a fast time.

How does the five-light sequence work?

The five red lights illuminate one at a time, then hold for a random interval before going dark together. 'Lights out' is your cue to go. Because the hold is random you can't time it — you have to genuinely react to the darkness.

How can I improve my start reaction?

Watch the lights, not a mental clock, and react to the darkness rather than trying to predict it. Stay relaxed, sleep well, and practise regularly. Start on the easy hold to build the reflex before moving to full race and hard modes.
