Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set a reminder online?
iLoveClock offers three ways to set reminders: Quick reminders let you pick a time offset (e.g., remind me in 5 minutes). Specific-time reminders let you choose an exact date and time with optional daily or weekly repeat. Interval reminders notify you at regular intervals with optional break gaps — great for Pomodoro-style work sessions.
Can I just type a reminder in plain language?
Yes. Type something like 'call mom at 5pm tomorrow' or 'water the plants 7pm daily' and iLoveClock fills in the time and repeat for you to confirm — the fastest way to add a reminder, with no menus to dig through.
Can I set recurring reminders?
Yes. Specific-time reminders support daily and weekly repeat patterns — choose which days of the week to repeat on. Interval reminders fire at a regular cadence (every X minutes) with an optional break period between cycles. Both types persist until you manually stop them.
Can I set monthly, yearly, or custom recurring reminders?
Yes. Beyond daily and weekly, reminders can repeat monthly (for example the 5th of every month), yearly (like a birthday or anniversary), every N days (every other day, every 3 days), or on an nth weekday of the month (such as the last Friday). Set the time once and it recurs automatically.
Will the reminder sound if I switch tabs?
Yes. When the reminder fires, iLoveClock plays the selected alarm tone using the Web Audio API, which works even when the tab is in the background. If you have granted notification permission, you will also receive a browser notification that appears on top of other windows.
Is this reminder app free?
Completely free — no ads, no sign-up, and no download required. Your reminders are stored locally in your browser so your data stays private. It works on any device with a modern browser: desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone.
