About the HIIT timer
HIIT — high-intensity interval training — alternates hard work with short recovery. This timer defaults to 40 seconds work and 20 seconds rest for 8 rounds, but you can dial in any ratio under Custom.
You follow it by ear: warm for work, cool for rest, with a 3-2-1 lead-in, a GO into each effort, and a tick for the last three seconds. Name your exercises and each round announces the next move.
HIIT timer FAQ
What work/rest ratio should I use for HIIT?
Common HIIT schemes are 40s/20s, 30s/30s or 45s/15s for several rounds. This timer defaults to 40/20 × 8; change it under Custom.
Is the HIIT timer free?
Yes — completely free, with no account and no ads.
Can I follow it without watching the screen?
Yes. Every phase change is audible — a 3-2-1 lead-in, a rising GO into work, a soft tone into rest, and a last-three-seconds tick.
